Rodney Malone, Owner & CEO
Rodney Malone is the Owner and CEO of Golden Heart Senior Care. This line of work comes naturally to Rodney. Rodney was raised by his grandmother who had 10 children of her own that she raised in a three bedroom house. All of her children were older than Rodney. So when she elected to adopt and raise Rodney, she was approaching her senior years and Rodney’s love and appreciation for her is what started him on a path to caring for seniors.
Rodney is a widower to his wife of 30 years. Together, they have raised three children. Christopher who is a Principal in the Vail School District in Tucson along with his wife a teacher and their two toddlers. A middle son Maximillian whom is very productive in the music industry and who volunteered at Courtney’s Place for the physically and mentally challenged. And an adopted daughter Emilie who is a student at NAU who is studying Psychology.
Rodney’s leadership skills involve coaching various youth team sports and golf. He is a founding Board Member of K2 Adventures Foundation raising money for handicapped families. He is an active member at the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce. Rodney successfully owned, operated and sold a cleaning franchise in Ohio employing over 96 employees. He became the larges in the Ohio Tri-State Area. He successfully owned, operated and sold a construction cleaning business employing over 115 cleaners. Rodney has now committed his remaining working years to being Of Service and helping seniors. According to Rodney, this is the most rewarding work he has ever done and he plans to help as many seniors as will have him.
Lorena Rintala, Administrative Manager
Lorena joined Golden Heart Scottsdale after 11 years of service to the State of Arizona. Lorena will focus her efforts on administrative areas including scheduling and insurance.
Lorena brings a tremendous focus on listening to clients so she can provide the best possible care needed for you or your loved ones.
Lorena will carry on her passion for helping clients and the community while providing excellent customer service with the upmost professionalism, patience, and a “people first” attitude.
Jared Cruz, Operations Coordinator/Office Manager
Jared joined Golden Heart Scottsdale after 15 years of service in the human services field supporting a diverse range of populations. Throughout his career, he has worked for several non-profit organizations in various roles excelling in leadership, management, and operations. Jared will focus his efforts on managing staff and supporting office operations.
Jared is a graduate of Colorado Mesa University with a B.A. in Psychology with a concentration in Counseling. He has a tremendous focus on supporting and leading staff while also providing an excellent client experience.
Jared has a “work-hard-play-hard” leadership style and enjoys celebrating "wins" with staff and the individuals he supports.
I recommend Golden Heart to anyone who needs assistance with a living environment either for themselves or their loved ones. They took the time to do an in-depth interview with my wife and I along with my Dad who was in need of 24/7 care. He remained extremely lucid so he was able to express his desires during the interview, some of which were well outside what would normally be expected. Golden Heart was able to assign people very well suited to Dad’s needs, his personality, and his demeanor. They furnished the best of care, on short notice, through the end of my Dad’s life.
